TAKAFUL Brunei recently held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at the Kampong Sungai Hanching Mosque where officers and staff members of Takaful Brunei and its subsidiaries – TBA and TBK – also had iftar and mass Maghrib prayer.
Among those present were Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (Rtd) Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Haji Mohammad bin Haji Daud, Chairman of Takaful Brunei Board of Directors, and other members of the board.
The event began with the start of the Khatam Al-Quran, followed by the distribution of donations to 28 orphans of Kampong Sungai Hanching and Kampong Sungai Tilong by the Chairman of Takaful Brunei.
As a financial institution that provides Syariah compliant protection and savings plans, Takaful Brunei believes that the donations will help lessen the financial burdens of underprivileged families for the upcoming festive season of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Takaful Brunei also donated a computer unit, a vacuum and 60 Takhtim books to the Sungai Hanching Mosque as ‘Waqaf’ with the hope that these items may be of use to the mosque. The ceremony concluded with the breaking of fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
