Mohd Suffian bin Haji Zainal Abidin, first prize winner of Takaful Brunei’s first ‘Sanang2 Manang’ bi-monthly cash prize campaign, yesterday said he will use all of his prize money to help the underprivileged and charitable organisations.
Mohd Suffian, who won BND15,000, has been actively involved in philanthropy work for
15 years.
“Every week, I try to help those in need. Sometimes I would receive calls from individuals who have nothing to eat, including the underprivileged and orphans,” said Mohd Suffian.
“I can spread the money for months to help them.”
He also shared that he did not expect to win such a large sum of money, this being his first time.
“Even if I had won BND1,000, I would still be happy,” he said.
He added, “I feel lucky and blessed to win the first prize. Nonetheless, I also feel that it is not mine – the money is to be given away to those in need.”
Mohd Suffian said he has been a Takaful Brunei Mobile user for over five years, finding it useful and convenient especially during the COVID-19 outbreaks.
The first prize winner also thanked Takaful Brunei for organising the campaign.
Meanwhile, runner-up Chin Siang Fung received BND6,000, third place winner Khairul Faisal bin Abu Bakar received BND2,000 and the rest with BND1,000 each.
Ten lucky customers won cash prizes in a draw for Takaful Brunei’s first ‘Sanang2 Manang’ bi-monthly cash prize campaign at Ruang, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex yesterday, with first place Mohd Suffian walking away with BND15,000.
Takaful Brunei Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya handed over the prizes.
The ‘Sanang2 Manang’ 2022 promotion, which runs until December 31, offers eligible customers the chance to win various prizes every two months worth over BND250,000, by participating in any TBA or TBK products via Takaful Brunei Mobile, or new motor participations and renewals via TBA Call Centre.
