TAKAFUL Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK) hosted an Islamic Financial Planning (IFP) showcase yesterday morning for students from the Penanjong Primary School, Tutong in conjunction with Global Money Week (GMW) 2018.
The students and teachers were greeted at the lobby of the TBK Head Office in Kiulap with a brief welcoming speech, followed by a tour that focussed on how TBK operates.
The showcase, which was a collaborative initiative from the Ministry of Education (MoE) together with Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD), saw the attendance of 20 students along with four teachers and an officer from MoE.
TBK believes the event was a great opportunity to educate the children on the key points of financial literacy and smart spending, and that exposing the savings and Islamic protection culture to young students can assist them in establishing a better understanding of the value of money.
The students and teachers were also treated to an informative screening session of TBK’s upcoming IFP animation videos, followed by games and activities meant to teach them to identify key terms used in the Takaful industry.
