IT WAS a fun day for over a 100 special needs children, parents and teachers of Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam (Pusat Ehsan) as they were treated to watch the latest movie ‘Zootopia’ yesterday at The Empire Cinema by Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (Takaful Brunei) as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Officers of Takaful Brunei and staff from Takaful Brunei Am (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga (TBK) who volunteered for the outing were delighted to share the experience that brought smiles to the children.
Prior to the movie day-out, Takaful Brunei staff visited Pusat Ehsan to observe the day-to-day activities in the children’s classes.
“We saw a number of volunteers teaching the children to read the Al-Quran, painting, book reading, assisting in grooming and a lot more. We want people to realise that small actions can make a significant difference to the children of Pusat Ehsan in their daily lives,” said Hajah Nabilah binti Pehin Abas, Marketing Officer of Takaful Brunei.
