TBK Al-Ikhtiyar, a comprehensive Shariah-compliant savings and protection plan designed to empower individuals in securing their financial future while adhering to Islamic principles being the first takaful product of its kind in Brunei Darussalam.
Officiating the launch of the event was the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, Chairperson of the Syariah Advisory Body. The event saw the attendance of over 250 guests including the Syariah Advisory Body, board members as well as chief executive officers and managing directors of invited companies and organisations. The event began with a doa recital, followed by welcoming remarks by Takaful Brunei’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Yang Mulia Awang Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya, followed by keynote remarks by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, Chairperson of the Syariah Advisory Body.
TBK Al Ikhtiyar products

TBK Launches TBK Al-Ikthiyar Roadshow
Following the launch of the TBK Al-Ikhtiyar product, Takaful Brunei Keluarga (TBK) held a 4-day roadshow at the Ground Floor Atrium, The Mall Gadong, from 6th February 2025 to 9th February 2025, 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
The roadshow was officiated by the Guest of Honour, Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof, Chairperson of the Syariah Advisory Body.
As part of TBK’s commitment to enhancing the nation’s financial literacy and promoting smarter financial planning, the roadshow included fun and educational activities where customers had the opportunity to decorate a savings jar, explore the retirement calculator and test their memories to enjoy exclusive rewards. The activities aim to provide an interactive insight into the new Al-Ikhtiyar products whilst reiterating the importance of financial planning for their future.
TBK also conducted a free financial health check for individuals, where customers were able to receive a free dessert from participating vendors such as Erti Kopi and Project Ice Cream.
