17th October 2023, Brunei Darussalam – Takaful Brunei shows support towards the Brunei Ophthalmology Society (BOS) in celebration of World Sight Day 2023 that took place on Tuesday 17th October 2023, at Bilik Asyura, Ministry of Health.
A total donation of BND10,000 and a set of paediatric vision screening equipment were presented by the Takaful Brunei Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Yang Mulia Haji Shahrildin bin Pehin Orang Kaya Lela Utama Dato Paduka Haji Jaya to the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, Yang Mulia Haji Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin. The paediatric vision screening equipment is anticipated to play a vital role in advancing eye care for the underprivileged youth, ensuring that visual issues are detected and addressed at an early stage.
Also in attendance were members of the Brunei Ophthalmology Society (BOS) and Orthoptists from the Ophthalmology Department, Ministry of Health, Yang Mulia Dr Siti Nurliyana binti Abdullah, Secretary of the Brunei Ophthalmology Society (BOS) and Yang Mulia Hajah Mauriza Hj Abdul Hamid.
