Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (Takaful Brunei) and its subsidiaries through the Dart Food initiative donated meals to underprivileged families in Brunei-Muara District affected by the pandemic.
Takaful Brunei Corporate Marketing Manager Mohammad Nazmi bin Haji Souyono handed the donations to Dart Business Development Manager Nabil bin Ibrahim at the Royal Brunei Culinary (RBC) headquarters in Lambak Kanan.
RBC Business Development Executive Elvin Lim Leong Chiang and Hand4Hand Brunei founder Haji Muhammad Iqbal Fakhri bin Haji Damit were also present. The assistance provides daily meals for up to 100 individuals from 14 families on a weekly meal plan for November.
The initiative performs contactless delivery through Dart. Deliveries are conducted by vaccinated drivers with double masking and green BruHealth code.
“It is imperative that companies provide assistance to those in need during these challenging times through a collective effort. Takaful Brunei believes in overcoming the challenges with unity and will continue to exemplify the slogan, Together We Protect,” Mohammad Nazmi said.
Previously, Takaful Brunei also donated household food items and hygiene necessities to underprivileged families, meals to National Isolation Centre (NIC) patients as well scrubs and personal protection equipment (PPE) to essential workers and frontliners.
