SYARIKAT Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (Takaful Brunei) presented donations to 98 orphans during a Khatam Al-Quran at the Kampong Lumapas Mosque on Monday.
Guest of honour Chief Syar’ie Judge and Chairman of the Takaful Brunei Shariah Advisory Body Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar presented the donations.
Members of the Board of Directors, Shariah Advisory Body, officers and staff of Takaful Brunei along with its subsidiaries Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK) were also present.
Takaful Brunei presented a Waqaf to the Kampong Lumapas Mosque comprising a heavy duty vacuum cleaner, a unit of high-pressure washer and 100 books of Takhtim. The ceremony concluded with the breaking of fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
Takaful Brunei also presented contributions from the Amal Jariah Takaful Plan to charitable organisations including the Department of Mosque Affairs, Centre for Children With Special Needs Brunei, Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA) and the Brunei Islamic Religious Council.
