Glorifying Ramadhan with good deeds

Syarikat Takaful Brunei Darussalam Sdn Bhd (Takaful Brunei), and its subsidiaries Takaful Brunei Am Sdn Bhd (TBA) and Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony and mass Tahlil and Asar prayers at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque in Kampong Rimba recently.

Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II and Chairman of the Takaful Brunei Board of Directors Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah was the guest of honour.

Members of the board of directors, syariah advisory body, officers and staff of Takaful Brunei, TBA and TBK were also present.

The event also saw the guest of honour handing over donations to 48 orphans of Kampong Rimba, which Takaful Brunei hoped would lessen their financial burden ahead of Hari Raya and offer the important lesson of saving for the future as an Islamic financial institution that provides Syariah-compliant protection and savings plan.

The event also saw the handover of TBK’s Amal Jariah Takaful donations of BND64,590.84 from TBK’s participants of to representatives of Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB), Pengiran Muda Mahkota Al-Muhtadee Billah Fund for Orphans (DANA), Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA), SMARTER Brunei, Children’s Cancer Foundation (YASKA) and Brunei Darussalam Mosque Construction Fund.

TBK’s Amal Jariah Takaful assists individuals in contributing financially to their selected institutions and charity groups through a systematic protection and savings plan.

The Zakat collection from TBK’s Saving of BND17,261.33 was also handed over to the representative of MUIB.

Takaful Brunei also presented Waqaf comprising 100 Takhtim Al-Quran, a projector set and a projector screen to Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Mosque.
