The recently introduced Takaful Brunei Keluarga Sdn Bhd (TBK) Credit Card Protection Takaful aims to provide coverage to all customers holding credit cards issued by financial institutions in Brunei Darussalam.
Made available through the Takaful Brunei Mobile app in October, the move looks to ensure Bruneians have access to more products geared towards financial protection against debts.
Most credit cards provide the cardholder with takaful/insurance protection in the event of a death or permanent total disablement only during travels abroad.
TBK’s Credit Card Protection Takaful, however, provides protection benefits to alleviate the financial burden of credit cardholders in the event of death or total permanent disability during the participation period.
The Protection Takaful benefits include settling a customers’ outstanding credit card amount owned to a financial institution.
Protection Takaful provides a maximum coverage of BND20,000 credit card limit per card.
Customers can participate in TBK’s Credit Card Protection through the Takaful Brunei Mobile app for added convenience.
From October 1 until December 15, 2021, TBK will also be giving away two Apple iPhone 13 mini to customers for taking up TBK’s Credit Card Protection Takaful or topping up on their Hospitalisation Cash Benefit coverage.
