Disclosure of Information
In accordance to AMBD Fraud Risk Management Guidelines with reference TIU/G-4/2018/9 dated 24th December 2018, we wish to remind our customers the following:
- To disclose all the facts in the proposal forms fully and faithfully, otherwise the Takaful Certificates issued hereunder may be void.
- If any claim made under the Takaful Certificate is in anyway fraudulent or if any false declaration is made to support a claim, the Takaful Certificate shall be forfeited and Takaful Brunei shall be under no obligation to make any payment of claims.
- Takaful Brunei shall report any suspected or confirmed fraudulent cases to AMBD.
Claim Guideline
In the event of loss or damage, the participant must notify to Claims Department immediately after the event.
Please contact 245 1803 to obtain a claim form or for further query.
Claim Department is divided into two (2) units:
(i) Motor & Non-Motor Claim; and
(ii) Third Party Property Damage & Bodily Injury Claim and Retakaful.

Claim
Motor Claim
If you are involved in a road traffic accident, please follow the following steps to enable us to expedite your claim:
Step 1
Contact our Towing Services at 244 4442 and notify our TBA Claim Department by calling 245 1803 (within 24 hours or next working day).
Step 2
Exchange particulars with the individual(s) involved, such as:
• Name
• IC
• Driving License No.
• Telephone No.
• Address
• Insurance Details
Step 3
Take pictures of:
• the accident scene capturing the accident vehicles and surrounding area
• the the damages to your own vehicles capturing your license plate
• the damages to all other vehicles invloved in the accident capturing license plate
Step 4
Report and bring your vehicle to our TBA Accident Reporting Centre 718 4000.
*Note: Notify Claim Department if involving Third Party property and bodily injury.
Please submit the following documents:
• Duly completed claim form
• Fire brigade report (for Fire only)
• Copy of participant’s identity card and driving license
• Copy of driver’s identity card and driving license
• Copy of vehicle registration card
• Keys to vehicle (for Theft, Total Loss, Constructive Total Loss, Fire)
Non-Motor Claim
In the event of loss or damage, please follow the following steps to enable us to expedite the claim:
Step 1 Make a police report to the nearest police station immediately after the accident (within 24 Hours).
Step 2 Notify to Claims Department by calling 245 1803 and complete the claim form (within 14 days).
Step 3 Make sure all required supporting documents are submitted.
*Note: Notify to Claims Department and complete the claim form (within 14 days).
Please submit the following documents:
1. Fire/Householder/Houseowner
• Duly completed claim form
• Police report
• Fire brigade report (for Fire)
• Quotation from contractor(s)
• Photograph of damage(s)
• List of stolen item(s) (for Theft)
• Repair/Replacement cost (if repairs urgently needed to be effected)
• Photograph of damages (if any)
2. Personal Accident
• Duly completed claim form
• Police report (if involved in Road Traffic Accident)
• Copy of identity card
• Medical leave certificate (for weekly benefit compensation)
• Medical report
• Original medical bills
• Death certificate (for Death)
• Post Mortem report (if any)
3. Workmen Compensation (WC)
• Duly completed claim form
• Police report (if applicable)
• Medical report
• Medical bills (for Medical reimbursement)
• Labour Department’s assessment
• Post mortem report (for Death)
• Death certificate (for Death & Repatriation)
• Photograph of injury
4. Public Liability
• Duly completed claim form
• Police report
• Letter of claim from the Third Party together with proof of loss
• All writs, summons, legal persuant from Third Party (if any)
• Medical report/post mortem report (Third Party Bodily Injury/Fatal)
• Photographs of damage(s) and scene of incident
